The Tale Of The Flower Crown Princess.

Hey guys! Sorry for updating so late. Here's a short story that I wrote for my Junior for her birthday xD I really hope she likes it. and there ya go! My first try attempting a fairytale story.

We were all standing in a line, under the blue crystal chandelier. I bit my bottom lip, hoping Garnelle wouldn't blame me for wearing shorts today. I silently groaned, looking over at the other girls.
Kienna was wearing a long maroon coloured silk dress, matching her slightly tanned skin. Standing beside Kienna was Holly, her hair was tied neatly into a high bun, as a mustard colour knee length dress fit her slim and petite figure. Irene, was next to Holly, her bright blue eyes matched her blonde hair, wearing a purple dress with a bit of a floral pattern on the hem of her midlength dress.
I then looked back at myself, I was wearing a black tee which had funny words printed on it, along with a white short. Holly and Irene started at me, giving me a feeling that they weren't very fond of my existence. I sighed, when I felt Kienna lightly tapped my shoulder, "It's gonna be alright." she whispered.
We were then interrupted as the giant wooden door in front of us cracked open.
All four of us quickly stood up straight, some dusting their dresses, while I looked down, hoping that Garnelle would spare me.
Garnelle gracefully walked towards us, with a yellow orange flower crown on her head. She was chosen by Prince Adam, the 23rd Prince of Vienna as the Princess of Vienna. Garnelle was extraordinarily pretty. She had those dark green orbs that even I couldn't help but adore.
"Girls." She spoke as she gave us a light bow.
"Princess Garnelle." The four of us said, bowing back towards Garnelle.
"As you are all aware, one among four of you, will be chosen, as the 24th Vienna Princess this Sunday." She cleared her throat when our eyes met. I quickly blinked as I shift my sight towards the crystal floor.
"I expect all four of you dressed, in your best, this Sunday after 6 and gather right as this spot." Garnelle pulled lightly on the hem of my shirt, making me startled by surprise.
"Let's not forget about our mission, in case you lost your mind, or had too much time wandering around the human world, the 23rd Prince is disguised, in the human world. This is to test your kindness, faith, and also patience. We will not interfere, or give out any opinion towards the Prince before his decision, as only the Prince himself, will choose his Princess."
Again, Garnelle cleared her throat, "Is everybody clear?"
"Yes, Princess Garnelle." We quickly nodded in unison.
Me, honestly, have no idea at all who the Prince is. We've never seen him before, never even heard his name before, but I've heard from the Vienna palace guards that he is extraordinary looking indeed.
"Now back to the human world! You have only 4 days left, to attempt to impress, or capture the Prince in disguise's heart. I wish you all the best." Garnelle announced, we all turned to our back, and walk towards our unicorn.
"Juniper," I swiftly turned my head when I heard my name, noticing Garnelle walked towards me.
"I suppose you were having a bit of a bad day?" She asked, looking at my attire.
Like how am I going to explain? Oliver got us wandering around school, skipping classes, and we ended up bumping into our class teacher. And yeah, you could guess the rest, detention it was.
I silently nodded.
"Everything will be alright, I know that the human world is tough, that's how what we all have went through. Even your mother." Garnelle looked at me with a smile. Tucking some hair behind her ear.
"Thanks Princess Garnelle. I'll try my best." to stay out of trouble I guess.
"Good, now off you go. The Prince might be just around you." She winked. Joseph, her unicorn, landed from the sky and swiftly flew away one Princess Garnelle had sat between its wings.
I sighed, "Moomoo, let's go." Moomoo was sitting lazily with her wings rested beside her body, I walked towards it and lightly pat it's head. I forgot to feed Moomoo, I was rushing. "I'm sorry, let's get back to earth shall me?"
I closed my eyes and took off the Veinna necklace. And there I was, back into the human world. Moomoo was laying on my bed, "Let's go get some food shall we?" I grinned and opened the door, Moomoo barked and followed.

"So how did the meeting go?" Mom asked, as I looked inside the cabinet for dog food.
"It was great. I guess." I mumbled, taking a can of Turkey flavoured dog food from the cabinet.
"Did Garnelle mentioned anything or any clue about the Prince?" She sat on the island, right beside the fridge.
"Princess Garnelle just mentioned that he might be just around us. That's all." I opened the can and poured it all over Moomoo's bowl.
"She's right Juni. The Prince might be just around you." Mom mumbled.
"Is there anyone you have in mind that it might be the Prince?" Mom asked, looking right at me.
"Errm." I licked my dried lips.
Let me see, all my life, I've only be friends with Kienna. She's super sweet, and pretty. She lives nearby, just around the corner. I can't talk to her in human world because it's against the rules. Besides Kienne, I have known Oliver for the rest of my life, in the human world of course. He was this little boy with thick black glasses, hazelnut hair and had a petite figure. After a few years later, he had grown taller, his hair is always messy, plastered on his forehead, and he never got rid of the thick black glasses he wore since like forever.
"Adam maybe?" I responded. Adam was the school's basketball leader. He is handsome alright. He is tall. Blonde wavy hair, and a killer smile. Holly was all over him. Maybe she thought that he was the Prince? I don't know.
"Adam? Adam Zachary?" Mom raised her brows, looking a bit disappointed.
"Yea I guess so." just before my mom was able to ask me questions again, the doorbell rang. I quickly walked towards the door and opened it.
"Juni!" He was standing there with a big smile, his hair as messy as always, and also those thick specs above his nose.
"Yes Oliver?" I groaned. Hasn't he got me into enough trouble today?
"Let's go for a bike ride! Around the neighbourhood." He stated as he moved a bit to the right, revealing his lightening blue bike. I stood there and hesitated, should I go? Or should I be searching for the right guy?
"Oliver!" I turned to my right and saw my mom standing right beside me.
"Clair!" Oliver cheerfully called out.
"What are you doing here?" My mom asked, looking at Oliver's bike.
"I came to ask Juni to come with me, to ride around the neighbourhood." He explained.
"Can she go?" He asked, looking as innocent as he could possibly be. Olivier is such a fake ass, he always trick my mom with his naive look that he wears.
"Of course she can go!" After hearing my mom's answer, my eyes widen. What?

At first, it was a slow and peaceful ride. Somehow after that, it became an crazy 'See who's faster' competition. I rode as fast as I could, with Oliver still in front of me. Damn. Like how could he ride so fast? The racing came to an end when Oliver dropped from his bike, when he tripped over a large sized pebble. I instantly stopped and jogged towards him. He was sprawled on the cold hard tar.
"You alright?" I helped him sat up by pulling his shoulder. He let out a soft groan. I looked at his palms, both of it was scratched, his knee was also badly injured, it was bleeding. Ouch.
I looked up at his face and realized his eyes was was trying hard to focus without his specs.
"Juni. Juni? Can you help me pick up my specs?" He asked. I searched around and saw it just beside his bike. I placed his specs above his nose as he blinked several times.
"Your knee is bleeding." I quietly said, looking at him with a frown.
He chuckled and lightly pushed my bangs away from my face.
"It's not a big deal."
"Yes it is." I rolled my eyes, how could this guy still be smiling when he almost killed himself?
I took out a small hanky from my back pocket and wrapped it around his knee. He hissed quite a few times.
"Can you walk?" I pulled him up. Realizing that he couldn't really walk when he put his whole weigh towards my small shoulders, I placed one of his hands on my shoulder, and I wrapped one of my arms on its waist.
"Hey Juni," we started to walk, or I should say to limp, back to his house.
"Yea?" I didn't stop walking, neither did he.
"Why are you always there helping me when I'm in trouble?" he asked, his voice much more calm and deeper now.
"Because you're a selfish and careless 16 year old boy who always disturb me whenever and wherever you are." I gripped harder on his waist, feeling a bit tired from helping him.
"Do you think that I'm a mess?" His question surprised me.
"No, of course not." because you were always there for me too despite of getting me in trouble.
"I'm sorry if I ever annoy you or mistreated you. I mean, I only have you. As a friend." He quietly stated.
"Just a friend?" I purposely sounded a bit angry, just to scare him.
"No, no. A very very good friend." He quickly said.
"Now that's more like it." I smiled, feeling grateful to have someone like him.
"Juni. I love it when you smile like that." I blushed, after hearing what he said.
" Oh oh, look what I've found, Juni blushing after a simple compliment." He teased.
I shot him an annoyed look and he ended up laughing.
"I like you Juni, I like you very much."

I laid on my bed, looking at the ceiling with Moomoo laying beside me. After sending Oliver home, I couldn't help thinking about what he said. He likes me? As a friend? A super best friend? Or more than that. He even asked if I was free on Sunday. Was that a date request? Or just a friendly hangout? I sighed. I declined his request because the final meeting will be held on this Sunday. It might sound like a joke, but I'm actually debating whether to attend the meeting, or ditch it, so I could go out with Oliver. I shook my head. What am I trying to do? I shouldn't be breaking any rules. But who do I really like? Who do I care the most? Oliver came floating in my mind. I bit my lip, am I serious? If I didn't get chosen by the Prince, nor if I do, I'd still have to leave earth, I'd still have to return to Vienna. I've heard of stories about the yet to be chosen princess falling in love with a human bean. They end up becoming human, and forever forbidden from Vienna. Will mom be disappointed in me?
"Juni?" A light knock was heard, I quickly sat up and saw mom opening my door.
"Yes mom?" She strutted closer and Sat on the edge of my bed.
"Are you excited for this Sunday?" I have to be honest that she looks more excited than I do.
"Not really," I mumbled, looking down at my oddly painted toenails.
"Why not?" She titled her head, trying to catch my eyes.
"Mom, I don't want you to be disappointed," I looked up and found hers staring right at me.
"Is anything wrong?" She asked, placing her hand on mine.
"I think, I have a crush on a human bean." The words finally came out from my mouth. How long have I been crushing on Oliver? I have no idea.
"Is it Oliver?" She gave me a smirk. I blushed and looked away.
"Dear, it's your choice, if you really love Oliver, just go for it. It's your future, you're life. No matter what choice you make, you'll always be our daughter."

At last, the day had come. Even though I decided to go for the meeting, I have to give Oliver an explanation, before I disappear from earth. I called him up and told him meet me up at my house before 8. I was already ready around 6. My hair tied into a loose side braid. Wearing a beige colour knee length dress. I sighed, holding onto the Veinna necklace, not even ready to leave this world. My heart started to race when it was about 7.30pm, why isn't he here yet? I picked up my phone and dialed his number. No one answered. I cursed under my breath. I threw my phone onto my bed, left and room and ran out of the house with the Vienna necklace still in my hands.
"Juni? Juni!" I didn't have to run far, until I saw Oliver, waving at me with on his bike.
I ran up to him as he got off the bike, and embraced him as hard as I can.
"Juni, is everything alright?" he muttered into my ear.
"I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to see you again." I confessed, after I broke the hug. Oliver stared at me blankly then chucked.
"Doesn't matter If you're willing to see me or not, you're stuck with me forever." He smirked. What is this? I'm not kidding.
"No, Oliver, I-" before I was able to continue, he placed his index finger on my lip.
"Shh." He whispered, he snatched the Vienna necklace from my hands and helped me clung it around my neck.
I was surprised, devastated. Once I'm back to Vienna, I won't be able to see Oliver again.
"Oliver," Was what I managed to say before I close my eyes. It took me several minutes to digest everything. I didn't want to open my eyes, I just want everything back to the way it was.
"Juni, Juniper." Was that Oliver's voice?
"Juni, you can open your eyes now." It was Oliver's! I slowly opened my eyes and saw him standing right in front of me with a smirk plastered on his face. He looked totally different, different in a good way. His hair was gelled up, his specs was gone, making his blue brown orbs stand out.
"Wha- what are you doing here?" I gasped, still taking in his new image.
"Haven't you figured out? It's funny to say this but," he cleared his throat aMr sucked up some air," I am, the 23rd Prince of Vienna." He said it with pride and a fake husky voice.
I was totally taken aback. Is he serious?
"And now," He held up a flower crown. "I present you, the 23rd Princess of Vienna." He gently placed the flower crown on my head.
He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead, "You look beautiful, very beautiful." He whispered. I smiled as he enveloped me into his arms.
I never felt to relieved, so happy. Oliver, it was Oliver. The Prince was disguised as Oliver.
"Now would you like to take a ride on George?" He asked, I looked up and saw Moomoo, and beside it was a pegasus, flying around the clouds.
"You have a pegasus?" I curiously asked.
"Yea, why? You princesses have unicorns doesn't mean we princes, cannot have a pegasus."

Coming Soon

Once upon a time, there lived a galaxy of wonder. There was The Sun, the king of the stars ; The crescent, the brave one who shone the brightest throughout the dark ; and The Star, the most attractive element on the galaxy.

As they all knew, the Sun and the Star was destined to be together. They were thought to fall in love with each other. But the star only shone the brightest, when the Sun is not around. The Star never was alone at night, because the Crescent was there. They've soon became very close.

The whole space fell in shock, when the Crescent confessed it's love towards the Star. Surprised, the Star hid itself and had disappeared into the darkness. The Sun was furious, as the Star was it's only love. Knowing that itself fell in love with the Crescent, the Star admitted in guilt. The Sun was devastated, not knowing what to do, while the Crescent became worried, knowing that their love is forbidden.

From that day onwards, the Star tried it's best to stay away from both the Sun and the Crescent. The star wanted time to think, to debate, whether to go according to faith, or to break the rules and follow it's heart. The debate within it's head never resulted. It took too long, the Star needed to shine in order to survive.

Your Green Eyes

Pitch black, was all I could describe what I see. For a person who've seen the colourful world for 23 years, having only pitch black in your sight, was pretty scary.
I remembered the time, when I opened my eyes. Why isn't there any light? Did someone off the lights?
I sat up, touched my eyes, making sure nothing was blocking my sight.
Hello? I called.
Anyone there?
Then I could feel a familiar hand touched my right hand.
I'm here, I'm here. His hands intertwined with mine.
Can you on the lights? I pleaded.
He didn't say anything, his tighten my hand in his as I felt a drop of water on my arm.
I remembered the moment, when they told me what exactly had happened. I threw everything I could touch. I cried myself to sleep every night. My world has entered darkness, as if the sun would never ever come out again. But that wasn't true, I could feel it, the heat, the sunlight landed on my exposed skin, every morning when he walked me to the garden.
It's hard to believe people around me. I couldn't even see. I don't know what exactly is going on around me. I couldn't do anything about it. Lifeless, was how I felt. But I know, he was there for me. He is the one I could trust, the one who would never ever harm me. Every day, he held my hand. Every night, he tucked my into my bed, still, with his hands interlocked with mine. Making sure that I wasn't scared, or alone.
I felt a sense of relief that he was actually there for me. He didn't care, even though I was blind, his love for me had only gotten stronger. He would always tell me that I was the most beautiful person in the world, he would tell me that I'm the best of him. His words were sweet and so convincing. But, I knew, I was trouble. Having him to give up on his current career just to take care of me, felt like I owe him a lot. Not to say owe, hmm, I feel like I was burdening him.
So one day, I decided, to leave. I was clumsy, as I wasn't use to walking alone. I tried my best, and ended up hiding in a grocery store a few miles away from our home. I felt my phone vibrate, I didn't dare to answer, not knowing if it's him who was calling. After a few times of vibrating, I took out the battery from my phone and threw it on the floor. Few minutes later, I could hear my name, it was him, his voice. I ran, as fast as I could, praying to god that he wouldn't catch me.
Thanks to my short legs, he managed to catch me within seconds. He held my arms so tight, that it hurt. What do you think you're doing?! He yelled. I kept quiet, as I felt the anger in his voice.
Why?! He roared again. I couldn't take it, I whispered, I don't want to burden you. My tears couldn't resist. I heard his deep sigh. After a short silence, I felt his lips on mine. I was about to give in, until I realized, this is wrong, I was supposed to disappear in his life. I pushed him away, but it didn't work. The only thing he did was, he pulled me even closer.
His kiss was so magical, so enchanting. It was better than anything. His thin lips laid on mine, it felt like summer, it felt so hot, yet so comfortable. I know realised, our love was unbreakable. He was like morphine, he was like oxygen. He was everything, I would ever want in my life. His kiss was demanding at first, but he became much softer, after I kissed him back. The kiss was perfect, except the fact that there wasn't any fireworks. Except for the face that I was blind, except the fact that we weren't kissing under the moonlight. I felt amazed, how it make my world spin. It was so flawless. Until, he collapsed and laid on me.
It was my turn this time, to hold his hands. I couldn't see him, but I could feel his cold hands as I wrapped them together with mine. He was so cold. He laid on the hospital bed, and I stayed beside him every day. I've learnt to become independent. I walked alone, down the street, to the market, and even back home. I was scared back then, but now, I wasn't. Because, he was the one who needs me now.
The doctor told me that he was infected by a disease, I forgot the name, and it was too long. All I knew was, it was quite serious, and he might need surgery. It was heart-breaking when I heard the news. Staying at the hospital wasn't fun, not at all. The smell of medicine and rubber gloves haunts me every time I step into this cold and heartless building.
Let me tell you some good news, I've learned how to cook, 'blindly'. Of course, I've learned his favourite dish first. I smiled when I realized that it tastes not bad. I carefully placed the food in a container, brought along a pair of chopsticks. And left the house. Oh, and this time, I remembered to lock the front door. How great is that?
It was the 25th day that he was admitted to the hospital. He's gotten much better, I can tell by his voice. I opened the container and put it on the canteen table, as he sat opposite to me. He tasted the food, and guess what? He liked it! He ruffled my hair, and said he was so proud that I've actually cooked. I smiled, knowing that he was happy for me.
After lunch, both of us sat on his hospital bed. I was back facing him, as his long arms wrapped along my waist from behind. He rested his chin on my left shoulder. I missed your green eyes, I told him. His green eyes, was the main reason I fell in love with him. His eyes were special, it wasn't the normal greens you've seen other people with, and it’s lighter, brighter green. He laughed, I love your brown eyes. He said. I then realized, I couldn't really remember how he looks like, I've been blind for almost 2 years now. I started to get nervous. What if? What if I can't remember how he looks like anymore? Depression hit me, as my tears were unable to control again.
He comforted me, and asked me to share my worry. And of course, I told him so. He held me in even tighter. He then asked, can you feel my heartbeat? Yes, yes I can, I replied.
That's good enough, all you have to know is, my heart beats for you, every second, every hour, every day and forever. He whispered. His whispers never failed to make my heartbeat faster. He then kissed my right cheek, making me flush in pink. I love you, he said. Forever, he whispered as he tucked me in.
After two days, I've received another amazing news, there was this little girl, who met with an accident, and so her family had decided to donate her eyes for me. I was happy but sad at the same time. An innocent life was taken away by God. At least, she's back in God's embrace right now. The other thing is, he, he will be having his operation, on the same day as mine. The only thing is, the timing is different. My operation is two hours earlier.
The day has finally came, I didn't slept well the previous night. I didn't know how to thank her parents, I mean, it's really generous of them to donate her eyes. I got to the hospital early, just so I could have breakfast with him. He was acting a bit weird that day, probably he was worried, because of the operation. I pat his back, and gave him a small massage on his shoulders. He then surprised me, by pulling me into a hug. I giggled, as I joked about him being desperate. He didn't laugh, in fact, I could hear him sniff. What's wrong? I asked. I wanted to break the hug and touch his face, just to know that if he was really crying. But he didn't allow me to. Beryl, he called my name. I just want you to know, I love you okay? And no matter what happens, just be strong, just like the way you are. Promise me, that everything will be alright okay? Just, promise me, right now. He sound so demanding. I promise, I said. I didn't know why he got so emotional. I didn't understand, maybe he was worried that the operations might go wrong. Just then, one of the nurse came in and told me it was my time to change. I nodded as I took my handbag and walked towards the door. He then held onto my hand. I turned back. He then held my cheeks with both if his hands and kissed my head. I love you, he said. I gave him a small laugh, I love you too. I said.
Okay, now, slowly. One of the nurse guided me to the doctor's room. It's been three hours after my operation was done, the doctor said that it was very successful. I smiled, knowing that my world wouldn't be filled with darkness anymore. Knowing that I can once again, see his green eyes, and make my heart melt one more time. After we reached the toilet, the nurse started to take off the bandage covering me eyes. When she was about to do so, I stopped her and asked if he was done with his surgery. So that he could see this moment. So that we could share our joy. The nurse suddenly went silent, as if she was unable to answer my question. Emma? I called the nurse. Oh, urm he's not done with his operation yet, why don't we move on, and you can surprise him later? She suggested. Hmm, why not? I smiled and nodded.
A ray of light shone into my eyes as I slowly opened them, it hurts, honestly, as if it's been decades since I've opened my eyes. Everything was so perfect, the colours were a joy to see! No more darkness, I cried in joy, no more! Then I have this weird idea, to get back into my normal clothes and look at the mirror and see how I look at this current moment. I avoid looking at mirrors, so that I could somehow surprise myself. After changing into a floral printed dress he got me, I slowly walked towards the toilet, my heart raced, as I really want to see how I look at this moment. Did I gain weight? Did my skin got tanned? Joy filled me, when I realized his excited I was to actually see myself again. This was my moment. I closed my eyes as I entered the toilet and stood right in front of the mirror. I then counted.
One.
Two.
Three.
I opened my eyes. I gasped. Nothing changed, my face, my eyes, and my skin. Except, my eyes, they were bright green. Horror stroke me as I ran outside the toilet, no, no it couldn't be! I bit my bottom lip as I rushed down the stairs. It only took me a blink, to reach his room. I opened it, my heart sank. No one was there. I walked inside the room. A red envelope on his bed, attracted me.
Beryl, was written on the envelope. I tore open it, and there was a small letter.
Beryl,
Hey, if you're able to read this, that means the operation had gone well. Please don't get mad at me for what I've done. I'm sorry for not being a perfect boyfriend. I'm sorry I couldn't stay with you till forever. The sickness I was diagnosed with, was.... I rather not telly you. I'm sorry for hiding it, the doctor promised me that he won't tell you. It first struck me when I thought I couldn't take care of you forever. Then I realised, all I can do was, to let you see again, to let you enjoy this colourful world. With you able to see again, you won't need me anymore. You'll go back to the strong Beryl. Remember that time when you were jealous of my eyes? When you said you wished you have my eyes? Well, your wish came true. My heart might have stopped beating for you, but at least, a part of me, will forever be with you. I apologize again for not being able to be by your side again. All I want you to know is, I love you, Beryl. You're the only one, who completes me.
Love, Hans.
